How to Power Up the Scanner Please be reminded that MaxiCheck Pro does not come with built-in battery and it relies on the vehicle battery to provide power. Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot "won't power up" issue. Step 1: Connect the scanner to the DLC port of the vehicle through OBD2 included. Step 2: Turn ignition on. Won't Power Up Troubleshooting: Step 1: Make sure your car has good battery level. Step 2: Check if you turned igition on. Step 3: Check whether PIN 4, PIN 5 and PIN 16 on the DLC port has voltage. Step 4: Check whether the PINs on the OBD2 cable are damaged. No communication Troubleshooting: Step 1: Check compatibility with us before purchase. Step 2: Update the software to the latest. Step 3: Select the correct track on the menu, eg. ABS/SrS-- USA -- GM-- 2000- Passenger Car-- Chassis -- E(Fourth digit of your VIN) -- Delco/Bosch ABS/TCS -- Special Functions-- Automated Bleed. Step 4: If it shows no communication through auto bleed, check whether it communicates with the car through OBDII. Step 5: If no communication through OBDII, please check whether the DLC port and the PINs on the OBDII cable are damaged. How To Perform ABS Auto Bleed/Troubleshooting Step 1: Hook up MaxiCheck Pro to your vehicle and make sure the connection is solid. Step 2: Diagnose the vehicle and make sure no DTC is present. Step 3: Put in your VIN number or select from the menu ABS/SrS- ABS- Vehicle Selection- Special Function- ABS Auto Bleed, Automated Bleed or equivalent name. Step 4: If you can’t find your vehicle listed in the menu, please download the Maxi PC Suite from Autel website. Then update the software to the latest and retry later. NOTE: If there are any ABS DTCs present, it will show communication fail too. Please clear the ABS codes or make proper repair/replacement first. NOTE: For some of elder CHRYSLTER car makes, it may need CHRYSLER-16 CCD adapter(not included) to work with ABS autobleed tool to complete the brake bleeding function. NOTE: Japanese vehicles like Toyota, Honda may vary in auto bleed function even for the same make, model and year. ABS Brake Auto Bleed for Limited Vehicles(Not Universal) The ABS/SRS diagnostic function is used to retrieve and clear DTCs, display and save data streams or module information, and perform various function tests on the vehicle’s ABS/SRS systems. What is more, the Auto Bleed function will help get air that is trapped in the ABS actuator module out when bleeding your brake lines. Auto bleeding are NOT universally compatible with all vehicles! SAS (Steering Angle Sensor) / EPB SAS (Steering Angle Sensor) Calibration Steering Angle Sensor Calibration permanently stores the current steering wheel position as the straight-ahead position in thesteering angle sensor EEPROM. Oil Light/Service Reset The Engine Oil Life System calculates when to change the engine oil and filter based on vehicle use. An oil change is required whenever indicated by the display and according to the recommended maintenance schedule. Whenever the oil is changed, reset the system so it can calculate when the next oil change is required. If a situation occurs where the oil is changed prior to a service indicatorbeing turned on, also reset the system. NOTE: The function is NOT universally compatible. BMS Service BMS(Battery Management System) allows the scan tool to evaluate the battery charge state, monitor the close-circuit current, register the battery eplacement, activate the rest state of the vehicle, and charge the battery via the diagnostic socket.
